📦 Inventory for small business

Your inventory doesn't need
another spreadsheet.

Scan a barcode at the shelf and the item is on the books. Set a minimum and get told before you run out. Count with a variance report, send the supplier order in one tap, and export whenever you want your data back.

No credit card · iOS and Android · Free for 60 items

The spreadsheet isn't wrong. It's just always out of date

  • It updates at a desk, not at the shelf. By the time someone sits down, three movements have happened and two are remembered wrong.
  • It never warns you. A cell does not know it is about to hit zero, so you find out from a customer.
  • Two people, two versions. One file, one editor at a time, and whoever saves last wins.

Nothing here needs a warehouse-management system. It needs the record to be updated where the stock actually moves, by whoever is standing there, in the two seconds they have.

From spreadsheet to live inventory

  1. Bring your list acrossImport an Excel or CSV file — only the item name column is required, and quantity, unit, location and description come along when they are there. You see the parsed rows before anything is saved.
  2. Add the rest by cameraPhotograph an item and the AI fills in name, category and description, or scan a barcode to add it in seconds. Both beat typing.
  3. Set a minimum per itemThat single number is what turns a list into a system: below it, the item is flagged, and on Business it lands in the supplier order report automatically.
  4. Count when it mattersOpen a stocktake, scan along the shelf, and approve the variance report of recorded against counted. The sheet is saved for reprinting.
What you get

Everything a small operation actually uses

No setup project, no desktop, no training day.

Barcode and QR scanning

Straight from the phone camera — for adding items, receiving goods and counting shelves.

Low-stock alerts

A minimum per item, and a flag before you run out instead of a customer telling you. Works on the free plan.

Supplier order report

Everything below its minimum, grouped and ready to send on WhatsApp or by email — without retyping a line.

Stocktake with variance

Recorded against counted, so you review the differences rather than re-entering the whole shelf. Sheets are saved.

Dead-stock analysis

What has not moved, and for how long — the money sitting on a shelf pretending to be inventory.

Works with no signal

A basement stockroom or a cold room still counts. Everything syncs when the connection returns.

Where StoxV is the wrong tool

  • No accounting or e-commerce sync. If you need stock to decrement automatically from Shopify orders or to post to your books, this is not that product yet.
  • It scans labels but does not print them. There is no QR label generator for shelves.
  • No custom fields. Name, quantity, SKU, supplier, location, expiry, cost and photos are fixed — you cannot add your own column.
  • Not for multi-branch operations. Up to 10 team members in a shared warehouse; there is no branch hierarchy or purchase-order workflow.

Questions

Is a phone app really enough to run small business inventory?
For a business counted in hundreds or a few thousand items, yes — and it beats a spreadsheet on the part that actually fails, which is keeping the numbers current. The phone is already in your hand at the shelf: scan the barcode, adjust the quantity, done. A spreadsheet only gets updated when someone goes back to a desk, which is exactly when the details are forgotten.
How do stock counts work?
Open a stocktake and scan your way along the shelf; each scan sets the counted quantity. At the end you get a variance report of recorded against counted, so you approve real differences instead of retyping everything. The sheet is saved and can be reprinted. Stocktakes are part of the Business plan.
Will it tell me before something runs out?
Set a minimum stock level per item and the app flags it when the quantity drops below it. Low-stock alerts work on the free plan too. On Business, items below their minimum feed a supplier order report you can send on WhatsApp or by email without retyping.
Can I import my existing spreadsheet?
Yes. Import accepts Excel and CSV; only an item name column is required, and quantity, unit, location and description are matched automatically when present. You see a preview of the parsed rows before anything is saved. Export back to CSV or PDF is available on the paid plans.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 60 items, 40 documents and 3 AI scans a month, with no credit card. Business adds 2,500 items, stocktakes with variance reports, supplier management and order reports, dead-stock analysis, CSV and PDF export, and up to 10 team members. Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app before you confirm anything.
