Centriq shut down on January 31, 2026, and its export was CSV only — the list came out, the photos and receipts didn't. Most "Centriq alternative" pages will tell you their app does everything Centriq did. This one won't, because it doesn't.

What happened

  • Centriq was retired on January 31, 2026, announced by email in late 2025 with an export window before the cutoff.
  • The export was CSV only. Photos, receipts and uploaded documents were not part of a bulk export and went with the platform.
  • Centriq's core was home maintenance — appliance nameplate scanning, manuals, service history and recall alerts — with inventory as one part of a bigger picture.

What StoxV replaces — and what it doesn't

Centriq did two jobs that happened to live in one app. StoxV is a strong answer to one of them and no answer at all to the other, so here is the split before you download anything.

Moving your CSV across

The CSV is the part that survived, so it does the heavy lifting. Everything visual has to be re-shot, which is annoying but goes faster than it sounds.

  1. Open the CSV and find the name columnOne row per item, and one column holding the appliance or item name. Anything else you kept — model, room, notes — comes across too, but the name is the only column that's required.

Two home-inventory products closed within six weeks of each other — Encircle's free app in December 2025, Centriq in January 2026 — and in both cases the people hurt most were the ones who had done everything right. They kept a careful inventory. It just lived somewhere they didn't control.

The practical takeaway isn't "pick a bigger company". It's keep an exported copy.
